• Question: how can you evolve your research?

      You do an experiment, and you see what comes out of it – if it works, that will give you, and other scientists, ideas for new experiments and how to explore the topic more. If your experiment doesn’t work and give meaningful results, that is an important finding too. It either means that maybe the effect you are looking for doesn’t exist, or that you need to figure out what could be improved . At the moment I’m running again an experiment from last year – it didn’t quite work out the way we wanted to, so we read other people’s work and saw what we could change. Hopefully it will be better this time 🙂

      thinking about it, then thinking about completely different stuff for a week
      looking into new interests activities that may trigger breakthrough
      talking to friends inside and outside my reseach area
