      The most surprising thing was when my very first experiment worked out exactly like we wanted it to (I didn’t expect that because I had never done an experiment before and thought it wasn’t good enough) 🙂 We found out German and Finnish speakers’ pupils reacted more strongly to words presented in their native language than to words in English. However, it was equally surprising when nothing came out of my last experiment! We are running a slightly improved version of it at the moment
