• Question: could we replica the human brain in computers and create artificial intelligence?

      People are trying to do this… I think we’ll be able to create some level of artificial intelligence, but personally I don’t think we’ll ever fully succeed at this. It’s just too complex.

      There is a test called the Turing test (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turing_test) in which we see if computer interaction is indistinguishable from a human. There has been some really interesting examples.

      In 2014 a computer convinced 33% percent of people they were interacting with human.

      We are still a while away from that, but it might be possible in the future 🙂 At the moment, as Andy said, we are able to make computers that in certain tasks (for example card games or other interactive games) can act really convincingly like a human would.
